Local support for those with dementia and their carers
‘Tea on the Green’, ‘a Reminiscence tour around Brooklands Museum’ and ‘Coronation Coffee with the Queen’ may seem totally unconnected but far from it. They are all part of a remarkable programme of networking events aiming to support those with dementia and their carers. These events will show case the services offered to those with dementia by Surrey Libraries.
Each event, which takes the form of a coffee morning, is supported by a Dementia Navigator from the Alzheimers Society. It is free to join and ordering items can be done online or via your local library. Memory impairment is a key feature of dementia so promoting the closed collection of material is a high priority.
Why not find out more by visiting one of the events in your local area?
